I have noticed a disturbing trend recently of new brides dropping their maiden names and keeping their middle names. For example, if my legal name is Mamacita Princess Fabulosity, and I was following the trend, I would change my name to Mamacita Princess Bonito (I'm marrying Senor Bonita in this case).

Don't get me wrong, I heart my middle name. But I also heart being a part of the Fabulosity family and I would never give up that name!!
Especially as a strong Latina woman, I know this would shame my family. These people must really love their middle names. That being said, I'll be sure to give Mamacita Jr. a hideous middle name so that she won't hesitate to carry on her maiden name!
